Why This Was Not a Basic Roof
A roof can look simple from the ground, but the measurements tell the real story.
This roof had a lot of different sections and meeting points. It included:

- A 12/12 main pitch
A 12/12 roof is very steep — it rises 12 inches for every 12 inches it moves forward. Steep roofs require more safety equipment, more careful movement, and more time than a low-slope roof. The large number of valleys and roof sections also means more measuring, cutting, flashing, and waterproofing.
